Sherietta Lane

Faculty Member

Sherietta Lane received her undergraduate degree in English from Johnson C. Smith University, an M.A. in English from the University of Georgia, and a Graduate Certificate in Women’s and Gender Studies from the University of South Carolina. She is currently a doctoral student in the Department of English at the University of South Carolina.

Sherietta has over 13 years of teaching experience and a strong background in English Composition. Additionally, she also teaches a variety of Gender Studies courses. Her areas of specialization include Online Instruction, Digital Humanities, 20th Century African American Literature, Multiculturalism, and Black Feminism. She is a member of several professional organizations, including The Toni Morrison Society, National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE), Modern Language Association (MLA), and the College Language Association (CLA). Ms. Lane teaches English Composition for Dallas Institute.
